So you want to be a raidleader?

Wilgje's picture

Always imagined yourself as a raid leader? Interested in helping your guild as masterlooter? We want to give you the opportunity to show us your talent Smile

For raid leaders we are looking for lemmings that:
- have a certain kind of seniority within the guild (having at least the rank of lemming within the guild)
- know how to positively motivate the group they lead
- are patient and communicative about problems with guild leadership

For masterlooters we are looking for lemmings that know how to take on responsibility, and will study/apply our loot rules as best as they can by installing the ClassLoot/Loothog addons and keeping themselves updated on all loot related discussions within the guild. Smile

Please whisper any of the officers if you'd like to give either tasks a go! We won't send you off into the deep end but make sure there's always an officer or experienced raidleader/masterlooter present to answer questions and help Smile

As an ex-masterlooter and

As an ex-masterlooter and officer overlooking the ML rules, I can highly recommended masterlooting to anyone who likes being more involved with the guild who'd like a responsible task. It's a matter of learning the rules and applying them. I experienced masterlooting for the lemmings as a thankful job, whereas players with lemmingspirit are very humble about loot and lemmings in general give you the confidence to do this job well, because they usually don't start discussions and don't freak out when in a rare occasion, you make a mistake ; )

The rules are rather easy, classloot does most of the thinking and furtheron it's moreover a matter of keeping a bit of a pace during the lootprocess! As I said, I recommend this job and it soon becomes second nature ; )

Love, Lleu (after exploring startrek online, prolly purchasing a gamecard again soon ; )

I remember my first lead in kara, i was a mubmling fool, it was stressful and by the end i was a nervous wreck...so the first time wasn't fun for me Laughing out loud

Raid leading highlights:

Sitting in complete silence, open mouthed as our GL and holy pally body pulled a whole room in kara.

Asking DPS quietly, then a little less quietly, then sternly, then loudly with a little facial tick thing going on not to dps Hydross during the tank swap so we didnt end up with 2 or 3 lots of adds.

Asking one certain dps who shall remain nameless not to run down the tunnel when Leo was wirlwinding repeatedly.

Our first Gruul Kill!!

Explaining the Kologarn fight in ulduar while right clicking on the boss in range Laughing out loud

Sitting in disbelief seeing someone flower picking while we are trying to kill Freya

Failing on orbs on Voidreaver because i was too busy watching other people.

Infact general fail because of raidleading, its actually quite difficult to lead a raid, watch everyone and still do your job in there at my age.
Laughing out loud

But your right sephy it can be fun Smile

Edit:

I have clamed down a lot since those days and now WoW isnt something to get stressed over for me. Although i still have been known to have push-to-talk moments they are usually down to my own mistakes now Smile

haha your comments relating to void reaver rings a bell with me.

I remember watching in awe as a raider just simply failed to move whatsoever for the entire fight despite numerous explanations, comments and previous attempts. What made it worse was this raider then saw fit to explain where it was we were perhaps going wrong ... I didn't have the heart to say "the fact I am having to spend the entire raid healing you probably has something to do with it". We got there in the end hehe

oh he was a hunter, btw ... just saying lol

Yeah I remember once when
