Lemmings and the slightly less active leader

Hi guys,

as you may have noticed I haven't been online altogether that much in the past few weeks. I have been under some stress in real life due to having my studies & financial situation (among other things) weighing heavily on my mind. These things make me less inclined to log in, and restless to stay online.

On march 1st, I start my internship (web editor at a local newspaper), meaning I won't be able to log in during the day. I also in all honesty don't know how much energy I'll have that first week to come/be online.

I feel it is important as guildleader to be online fairly often, so people can see I'm active, approachable, and part of the guild. However, after thinking about the above for a little while, I have decided that less activity from me doesn't have to mean the guild has a problem, or that I'm less effective as a guildleader.
We have a really good team of officers, wide experience in dealing with game-related problems, and we have a very active guild community. Runs don't depend on me being online

In order to keep things running smoothly I will have to rely on the website and the officers more than before. You can help me a great deal as well:

• Please regard your signup as set in stone once the line-up for the run has been made. Yes, we may have more backups, but it makes organising raids a strain for us if you withdraw your signup on the day itself because you suddenly don't feel like it. If you're in the line-up, we are counting on you. The 'backup' is there only so the raid leader knows who to ask if there was a RL emergency/no-show.
• If you're on the line-up marked as backup, this only means we will give you priority on a raid invite if it turns out there is a spot free. If you're backup and not online, we will ask someone else. We expect people that signed up to honor their word and come play so in an ideal situation the backup isn't needed. We wouldn't force you to be online to wait around. It is always appreciated if you leave a comment on the site saying 'seeing as I'm backup, I've decided to go see a movie/hang with friends instead'.
• I probably won't be able to log on to the website during the day, and I can't ask the officers to be refreshing the site all day long at work too. Changes to the line-up for that evening's raid will probably not get updated until 18.00 gametime! You see why the above requests are very important.
• If you have any questions about the guild, thoughts, comments, please don't think about them ingame, but talk about them on the website. You can PM me through the site or mail me and I will reply you as soon as I receive it and inform you of what our next steps are. The same goes for the officerteam; we will stay in touch about guild matters and make sure you guys don't miss me for a second
