Biography
Reallife
I'm Peter, a currently 34 years old man from the Netherlands.
This year I've moved in with my girlfriend, Jacqueline.
I work as a Consultant Integration (EDI consultant / programmer) at a company near Rotterdam.
(Online) gaming history
In university I started playing some text based MUDs (Multi User Dungeons) (this was back in 1995)
After sometime I heard about a game called Everquest, which I bought and started to play. I first played at a US-based server, but because of the timezone difference I couldn't mingle well with the regulars so I restarted my career at a European server.
I created a Necromancer (which is somewhat comparable to a Warlock in WoW) and during my adventures I ran into some guys from a guild called Lowland Elites. I discovered it was an all Dutch speaking guild and quickly joined them. After a little while I learned they were short on Clerics (=Priests in the WoW realm) so I rerolled as a dwarven cleric (called Chirurgijn Heelmeester). After leveling up I joined them in raiding as a healer.
When Everquest 2 and WoW came out the majority of the members moved to one of these 2 games. I stayed behind, but found out that being in a nearly empty guild wasn't my thing so I purchased Everquest 2.
The members of Lowland Elites who had moved to Everquest 2 had formed a guild with the same name there and I joined them again. I started to play with a dwarven paladin named Dwergux. This was my main character up to the second expansion. After a while the paladin grew less appealing and the guild was in need of a troubadour, so I made one of those and brought it up to par with the raiding force. I think I played the game too much and needed something else.
When Vanguard was released I started to play it from the start, I joined a hardcore guild and we made quite some progress. But due to instablilty of that game I lost interest in the game. (crashing every 5 to 10 minutes isn't my idea of fun)
World of Warcraft
Somewhere during my Everquest 2 time I needed a little break from the game in which I purchased World of Warcraft. (This was still in the vanilla WoW age).
I started to play with a human rogue called Alwina on the Aszune server. (I still have that char). At that time the game quickly lost it's appeal, mainly due to the crowd I ran into.
When I moved in with my girlfriend I thought I needed a game which I could play a little more casual.
I first bought the burning crusade expansion (WoTLK was already out, but the content was far away) and started to play on a Draenei hunter called Draël.
After a few levels I joined a guild called Zodiac. This guild was full of screaming, ranting and insulting kids (no offense) so I left the guild after a while. After being guildless for some time I was pointed towards a guild called Dellerium.
I joined them and felt much at home there. I continued to level my hunter and when I got him too level 55 I purchased WoTLK too. I continued my leveling and got the hunter to level 80. After some gearing I was deemed ready for Naxx and joined Dellerium in their raids to Naxx (10).
Because a hunter is a one-trick pony (can only do good DPS) I wanted to try a more diverse class as well and made my druid. With some emblems I got on Draël I bought some heritage items and started to play on my druid.
Now my druid is the character I seem to like most.
Some time ago there some people in Dellerium got upset about the lack of communication between it's leaders, which ultimately led to the end of the guild.
After a week of being guildles I looked for old members of Dellerium and found Calisan, Athalon and Zilary in Lemmings of the Light. I spoke with Calisan and asked him about Lemmings, he told me some things which led to my application to Lemmings.
As of the 3rd of November 2009 I'm a full member of the Lemings.
